I have been a part of the CS10 staff for 7 semesters (1 as a student, 1 as an AI, 2 as a Reader, and 3 as a GSI), and I am super excited to be here teaching Data 94! I have taken Data 8 and Data 100 on my way to becoming a Data Science Minor, so I am delighted to be teaching data science to all of you this semester!
My name is Angela Guan, and I am from San Jose, CA. I am a 4th year studying Data Science, and I love data science! I took Data 8 in my 1st semester at Cal and have been on course staff for 7 semesters. I am on the Cal Table Tennis team, and I enjoy going to beaches, hiking, baking, traveling, and trying out new things to eat. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hey! I am a 3rd year EECS major from India. Like a majority of you, I came to Cal knowing next to nothing about data science and programming and yet here I am! It was an introductory class, very much like this class, that made me fall in love with computational thinking and I wish to play my part in introducing to you the world of Data Science and Computational Thinking! Looking forward to a great semester!
Hi! My name is Anna, and I’m an MPH student in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. During my time at Cal, I’ve spent 7 semesters on Data 8 course staff and 3 semesters on Data 140 staff. Outside of Data Science, I enjoy watching dogs on the Glade, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and binging trashy reality TV.
Hi! My name is Sukrit and I am a 5th Year MS student in EECS. As an undergraduate, I was a GSI for 5 semesters for a variety of courses (EE16B, CS61C, EE120, EECS127). My academic interests are primarily in computational imaging and signal processing, both of which involve statistical analysis (and other concepts found in data science). When I’m not busy with work, I enjoy binge watching TV shows, eating new foods, and traveling (not so much anymore, thanks covid). Looking forward to meeting you all (virtually) this semester!
